UK and Irish waters

Seen a shark?
Tell us.

Divers, dive masters, and fishers see more sharks than any scientist. Every report helps show where sharks live around the UK and Ireland, and how that is changing.

You do not need to be an expert. “Not sure” is a useful answer, especially with a photo.

Why “no sharks” counts

Sightings only. Shows where people dive.
With “no sharks”. Shows where sharks live.

If we only hear about sightings, the data shows where people go diving, not where sharks live. A dive with no sharks tells scientists as much as a dive with one. Please report both.
